This year, the Knights of Columbus will be recognizing three John Marshall High School freshman students every month.
For September the Knights of Columbus JMHS Students of the Month are Natalie Briggs, Tyler Thomas and Hayli Whiddon. These students were chosen by their teachers for grades, behavior and their position as student ambassadors.
Natalie Briggs has participated in Math Day, in which she placed third, and the Archery team. She enjoys learning about different cultures as well.
Tyler Thomas enjoys baseball, football, basketball and sports in general. He believes that getting the Student of the Month award and getting good grades are some of his greatest accomplishments.
Hayli Whiddon is interested in dancing, photography and writing. She is currently in the yearbook class and she has won metals in swimming and writing competitions.
John Marshall Freshman Principal Geno Polsinelli says this award is special because it is the first of the 2019 school year. He believes these students are deserving of this award. “They were selected by their teachers as top notch of their class,” he explained.
