March JM CTE Students of the Month

Edward Huck and Amanda Rine have been selected as the Career & Technical Education Students of the Month at John Marshall High School for March.

Huck is a senior in the Accounting program and is the son of Christopher and Alena Huck of Wheeling. He is a member of the National Technical Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and Monarch Company. Huck enjoys reading and playing video games.

“Accounting has given me so much knowledge about the work involved in business,” Huck said. “I have met many wonderful people who worked with me to run the finances of Monarch Market. Ms. Pintus has shown me all the complex but fun moments that comes with finance.” He plans to attend West Virginia University to major in Accounting.

Rine is a senior in the Management program and is the daughter of Lane and Toni Rine of Moundsville. She is a member of the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Governor’s Workforce Academy, FBLA, Youth Leadership Organization, Outdoor Club and Euchre Club. Rine is also on the JM Track and Field team, is a competitive barrel racer, trains at Joe Dunlap’s Performance Horses and is a worship leader at Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

“I believe the Business CTE program has prepared me for my future,” said Rine. “No matter what career I have, I will have the knowledge to either run my own business or help a business I am working for become more efficient. I’ve also learned how to manage people in a motivating way. Mr. Kuskey has helped me learn more about a career I have an interest in before going to college.” She will go to Waynesburg University to major in Business Administration and Marketing and then pursue a Law Degree.
