The Knights of Columbus John Marshall Students of the Month for September are Gracie Whitlatch, Karleigh Stricklin and Sophia Crumm. Knights of Columbus Grand Knight Lou Richmond gave the students their awards.

Whitlatch’s interests include playing basketball, softball and volleyball. She is involved in clubs such as the Leo Club and Student Council. Her extracurricular activities include playing club volleyball and fall ball for JM. She lists her good grades and helping out in the community as her most proud accomplishments.

Stricklin’s interests include history, cheer, sports, doing stuff for school and doing events for sports. Her extracurricular activities include cheer and dance. She lists winning this award and winning science fairs as her most proud accomplishments.

Crumm’s interests include many John Marshall High School clubs. Her extracurricular activities include TSA, outdoor club, the academic team and she plans to join student council. She lists winning this award and winning nationals in TSA as two of her most proud accomplishments.

John Marshall High School Freshman Principal Geno Polsinelli says these three students have made a positive impact in the classroom to start off the school year. Outside of the classroom, he says, “they’re involved in multiple things both school and community related, and their teachers also thought they were deserving of this award.”
