March JM CTE Students of the Month

Cassidy Allen and Kadence Pettit have been named Career & Technical Education Students of the Month at John Marshall High School for March.

Allen is a senior in the Principles of Business class and is the daughter of Jimmy and Jenny Groves. She is a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).

“My CTE classes have helped me learn to communicate with other people,” Allen said. “I have also learned to be more open to other’s views and ideas.” After graduation, she will study Pre-Veterinary at West Liberty University.

Pettit is a senior in the Accounting program and is the daughter of Jason and Melissa Pettit. She is a member of FBLA, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, JM Drug Free Club, Student Council and the Monarchs softball team. Pettit also serves as the manager for Monarch Market, the school’s store.

“Being in the Business Program at John Marshall High School has given a great foundation of the basics that will help me continue in the finance field in college,” Pettit explained. “My CTE classes have helped me become more organized, too.” She will major in Financial Planning at West Liberty University.
