April 2023 K of C Students of the Month

The Knights of Columbus John Marshall Students of the Month for April are Libby Wojtaszek, Makinley Weekly and Peyton Jones. Grand Knight Lou Richmond of the Knights of Columbus gave these students their awards.

Libby Wojtaszek’s interests in school and out of school include writing and playing cello. For her extracurricular activities, she enjoys strings. Wojtaszek says that her greatest accomplishment is going very far in strings.

Makinley Weekly’s interests in school and out of school include playing violin and going outside. For her extracurricular activities she is active in strings. Weekly says that her greatest accomplishment is receiving this award and winning an award for the Ladies Club of Marshall County.

Peyton Jones’s interests in school and out of school include dance, competitive cheerleading, golf, and art class. For extracurricular activities, she is active in JM competitive cheer and JM golf. Jones says her greatest accomplishments are getting into the biomedical studies class and making it into the geometry honors class.

John Marshall High School Freshman Principal Geno Polsinelli says these students excel in the classroom. Polsinelli continues to add, “With springtime coming up and a nicer weather, it can be tough with things they’re involved in after school and extracurriculars.” He finishes by saying they stay focused in class and continue to excel.
