October 2023 K of C JM Students of the Month
The Knights of Columbus John Marshall High School Senior Students of the Month for October are Lillian Roman and Charles Heitz.
Grand Knight Lou Richmond of the Knights of Columbus gave these students their awards. Their award category was Best Work Ethic, which means these students have constant work ethic and positive behavior in class.
Roman’s interests inside of school include National Honor Society, Youth Leadership Academy (YLA) and student council. Her extracurricular activities include playing tennis, teaching younger kids how to play tennis and teaching kids at her church. Some accomplishments that Lillian is proud of include going to math day and regional math day nearly every year and her accomplishments in calculus and statistics.
Heitz’s interests inside of school include history, zoology and environmental science. His extracurricular activities include the Health Sciences & Technology Academy (HSTA). Some accomplishments that Charles is most proud of include winning the West Virginia Golden Horseshoe award in 8th grade.
John Marshall High School Assistant Principal Kallie Kastrevec says that both Roman and Heitz are hard-working, especially in the classroom and excelling in their classes.
